Recently fire ants have come to Japan. They are very dangerous. They can sting you many times and they are poisonous. Fire ants are also very smart.
When a fire ants nest is flooded with water the ants will float to the top of the water. They will hold each other and use their bodies to make a floating boat. So if it rains a lot and there is flooding, be careful if you see a floating pile of fire ants.
The water also carries them to new places. So instead of killing ants, flooding actually spreads them faster.
