日本語でもよく使うリクライニング。
これは英語のincline,declineから来たものでしたね。
坂道をのぼる、おりるという意味があります。それを繰り返し行う行為ということで、座席を倒したり起こしたりする作業のことをREクライニングというそうです。
I will go up the hill.
I will go to the top.
I will climb to the top.
I will climb the incline
で上まで上がるという意味。
今日は大阪に旅行した生徒さんがいらっしゃったので、階段をたくさん上りましたという話からこの英語が出てきました。
いろいろトラブルもあったそうですが、とても楽しい旅行だったようです。
It sounded really fun! And that made me really wanna go on a trip to somewhere.
I would like to go to Tokyo Disneyland or Ishigaki island. These are my favorite places in Japan. But because of my work, I dont think we can travel anytime soon..
