Beverages (飲み物) are sometimes served different in America and Japan.  For example I notice that when you order a beverage at a restaurant in Japan, the glass is usually not completely full.

In America when you order a drink it is usually completely full.  If the beverage is not to the top of the glass, Americans will usually complain and be angry. Also the drink size in America is much bigger than in Japan.
