Today we went to the aquarium (水族館).
I was very impressed with the aquarium. There were various kinds of sharks and fish in the large glass water tanks.
In this picture you can see a large group of small fish swimming together. There are many different words to describe a group of creatures in English. A group of fish is called a “school of fish”.
For example, in the picture above you can see a large school of small fish swimming in the aquarium.
A group of dolphins or whales is called a “pod”. You can see a small pod of dolphins at the Fukuoka Aquarium.
